But Melbourne Dental Studio is redefining the dentist experience for the better, and we wanted to make that clear with strategic marketing. Unlike often intimidating clinical environments, Melbourne Dental Studio provides a boutique experience with the highest level of personalised care where you aren’t just treated like a name on a booking system.

What started at Stanley St Dental and Abbotsford Dental became Melbourne Dental Studio, once the latest Cremorne location was added to the mix. Previously, these well-established practices operated as separate entities that, while sharing clinical expertise and strong community ties, lacked a unified voice. Their existing brands had outgrown their original identities and no longer represented the business’s significant investment in modern dental technology. The expansion allowed us to bridge this gap — bringing all locations under one cohesive name and a forward-thinking ethos that finally reflected the advanced care provided inside.

The Backstory

The main hurdle was unification amid the opening of a new branch. We needed to create a cohesive patient experience through a single brand and service offering, but there was a catch: we couldn't dilute the personal touch that made the practices so successful and well-loved in the community.

The new identity had to reflect core values of trust, warmth, and real relationships, avoiding the cold, sterile feeling often associated with traditional dental brands.

Brand Design

We established a distinct visual anchor to be used consistently across every brand touchpoint.

The ‘sparkle’ icon — A clever interplay of negative space and geometry where the sparkle, combined with surrounding elements, reveals the silhouette of a tooth from a top-down view. These shapes provide a playful, yet sophisticated detail and serve as a framing device, allowing staff and patients to become part of the brand journey. 

We utilised clean, modern typefaces to provide a sophisticated backdrop, allowing the words to speak for themselves. 

Capturing Personality Through the Lens

They say a picture is worth a thousand words — and our work for Melbourne Dental Studio is no exception. Thoughtful, human-centric photography and videography served as a critical storytelling component for the brand. 

Through soft lens focus, colour grading, and candid moments, we captured the warm and welcoming, yet premium atmosphere that Dr Frank and the Team are known for.  

We used authentic patient stories to ground the brand, allowing its personality and reputation to be told through genuine perspectives.
